My Best Friend (in memory of Douglas Preimesberger)

by  Whitney Podhradsky

On November 25, 2004
My body and my spirit crept out the door
My heart was bruised and it ached in pain
I tried and I tried to keep from going insane

I wish we could have more memories together
I liked to visit you through good and bad weather
Our souls are apart but our hearts are still in it
I hope we meet again at least for a minute

You were my best friend through thick and thin
We liked to build whether it was wood or tin
Never dieing, the things we’ve been through
Ill always be there and I’ll always love you
v gd
I met you when I was three years past seven
And I hope we meet again, hopefully in heaven
The times we shared will always stay true
Because I will always be able to say “I had a friend like you”
