CHANGES
by Adrian Allison-Baillie
A heart that was broken,
Now tries to heal,
Words now unspoken
Now tries to heal.
A hand once empty,
Now reaches out,
Eyes not able to see,
Now wide open with out a doubt.
Eyes once full of tears,
Thoughts unable to understand,
Now the sum of all my fears,
Are held in a gentle hand.
Painful memories lessen with a smile,
Tearful eyes now so bright,
Happiness stays for a while,
Now sadness is out of sight.
A silent distant gaze,
Brings back a distant memory,
Of happier bygone days,
Of both you and me.
Head in hands and bowed low,
With a long deep sigh,
Of the times when I so loved you,
Asking nought by a tearful “why”

This is a beautifully written poem. The Poet obviously has
had their heart broken. They are a true genius when it comes to writing this
sort of poem. |
