“DADDY”

by Adrian

A tiny hand that would find its place,
A smile that would melt my heart,
Two big sparkling eyes that would melt my heart,
From which they would never part.

As they transfixed their tiny gaze,
A tiny hand that’s reaching out,
Just to become the high light of their days,
Of that there is no doubt.

Just to have a tiny hand to hold a face to touch,
A tiny heart to warm my own,
Ive never wished so hard so much,
I don’t want my love to be alone.

My love for their would never alter,
As they would fixed their tiny gaze,
My adoration for them would never falter,
Their love for me would brighten up dark days.

I want to be their future present and their past,
With out them where would I be,
A tiny love that would for ever last,
With a wish to hear “I love you Daddy”.

This poem tells me that the writer longs for a child.  I hope that they realise their long awaited dream.  Well beautifully written poem.
