Sleeping

By Jeff Morris

When you see me sleeping
You watch my chest to see it moving
Rising and then falling like a slowly manic sun
And if the time grows long between inhaling and exhaling
You wake me from slumber afraid that I might leave you
But I could never leave knowing there's so much to be done.
