Mental Illness

By Tracy L Tongue

BARE WHITE WALLS
WAITING PIT-FALLS

LOUD CRIES SOBS
MINDS VICIOUSLY ROBBED

REAL NIGHTMARES,
NO FURTHER CARE

DARK DISMAL GREY,
LONG DARK DAYS

BRIGHT RED BLOOD,
FEELING MISUNDERSTOOD

FULL ONGOING SORROW
NO MORE TOMORROW

RESTLESS SCARED MIND
PEACE FAILED FIND

PILLS    SLEEP   TALK
SCREECH, PITCH FORK

SELF- HARM ABUSE,
CRYING PITIFUL EXCUSE

EMPTY ACHING PAIN
DROWNING - YOUR RAIN

FAILED FORWARD THINKING
MIXED FEELINGS SINKING

BLACK EMPTY CAVE,
FRESH SHALLOW GRAVE.

The End
