Torn

by R.W.Young

You know that I love you, you have seen me cry.
I'll always love you, for you I would die.

I would stand proudly beside you, through thick or through thin,
I long for your love, it burns me within.

For your love I would catch all the stars in the sky,
I would jump from the mountain, for you I would fly.

You make me feel there's a reason for life,
My happiest day, when you became my wife.

I know I didn’t tell you I love you enough,
But now things have changed, I can’t tell you that stuff.

I open my heart again and again,
I've opened so much, I’ve torn from within.

I close my eyes, you are all that I see,
My chest gets real tight, I can hardly breathe.

I know in your heart, you love me too,
But all that I want is to hear it from you.

The hardest part, is letting you go,
The pain that I feel, I hope you never know.

I only wish the best, for you in your life,
So now from my heart I must pull the knife.

And as you walk away, a tear falls from my eye,
Because once you are gone, that’s it, I die.

(I will love you forever Robin. Love Ryan)
